And another lovely wedding day at the Tithe Barn near Petersfield in Hampshire. Clare and Paul ordered a wonderful day in between all the rainy days before and after their wedding. Despite Paul being a bit nervous about the day (which is of course understandable) he was a caring host and made sure everybody was happy. For a change I photographed the grooms preparation instead of the bride. Oh, and guess what, the grooms brother was not only the best man but he is also a ‘proper’ photographer. When he produced his real camera (a Rolleicord twin reflex medium format) I suddenly felt a bit sad about my shiny digital gear. Yes digital is a great medium but real film has something which cannot be replaced by digital … oh oh no flames please – all I’m saying is that film can give you a completely different view on photography (and yes, I love my film and I still use it!). Anyway, Clare and Paul are a lovely couple and I wish them all the best for their future.
